Melanin Enterprises LLC. was established in 2008 as a performing Arts Company based out of Newark New Jersey.
Skin is essential to a person’s survival. It forms a barrier that helps prevent harmful microorganisms and chemicals from entering the body. The layers include: The Epidermis, the upper or outer layer, and the Dermis or inner layer. 90% of the cells in the epidermis are Keratinocytes-A protective property. Scattered among the Keratinocytes are Melanocytes--- cells that produce a dark pigment called “Melanin.”
Melanin Gives color to the skin and protects it from the Suns ultraviolet rays. In people of almost any skin tone, exposure to the sun causes Melanocytes to increase their production of Melanin to help protect the skin.
I formed Melanin Enterprises to remind our youth that they carry within themselves a barrier of protection against negative forces. Melanin is a positive resource for all people to discover the true greatness which lives within. By using all forms of Artistic Expression, I have centered myself as a "Nexus" amongst a strong, and talented network of Performers, Artists, and Educators. Our mission is to design, develop, and implement Artistic endeavors for our youth. As the natural Chemical Melanin stores the energies of life, it also has the ability to absorb harmful elements and transform negative intentions towards Intellectual and Artistic productions. These outcomes will promote positivity and excellence. We all are designed for greatness. Together, we can transform the artistic community into agents of change for the promotion of peace.
